Today we went after making a ha and cheese omelette for breakfast. A fairly simple recipe to make and the children can help out whatever their age is. First you will need a skillet, medium sized. The recipe for a ham and cheese omelette contains
Ham
Cheese
eggs
salt,pepper
(optional)onions,green peppers)
butter
First start the skillet out on medium low heat. next prepare the ham. You will need to slice the ham in small chunks or small slices, parents you do the slicing to be safe!
Next slice the cheese and set aside on a plate with the ham.
Next crack the eggs in a bowl, for 2 people use around 4-5 eggs, let the children crack them and they can also beat them with a fork until they become yellow.
Once the eggs have been blended let the child pour the mixture into the skillet, be careful about the burner. Once the eggs are poured in have the children take the ham bits and cheese bits and sprinkle them on top of the egg mixture. From there cooks on medium low. Now from here you will need to cut on the oven and put a rack near the top broiler. Once the egg mixture is almost done from the bottom take the skillet and put it into the top rack of the broiler to cook the top. Once the top is done pull out, place back on the stove and now we will need to "flip" it. Take a spatula or egg turner, run it around the side to loosen the egg mixture and once loose, hold one side and fold over top of the other. You have now created a ham and egg cheese omelette and it is ready to be served!

You can always add food coloring to the eggs and make green eggs and ham! Looks great! |
